60 Martin Place

LOCATION: Sydney, Australia

INDUSTRY: Construction

CONTRACT VALUE: Approx $8.3mil

COMPLETION: August 2019

In mid-2017, NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation began work on designing and engineering the large-scale structural steel elements on the 60 Martin Place building in Sydney, with on-site work commencing November 2017.

NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation manufactured, erected and assembled many facets to the complete project. 3 x 43 tonne steel transfer trusses measuring 4.5m high and 21m long were installed in the plantroom. The challenging 5-level steel frame clad staircase in the foyer was also fabricated and installed by NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation.

The 60 Martin Place project was fast tracked and therefore one of the biggest challenges was the time-frame required to fabricate and execute the works on site. Constant review and adjustments were required throughout and NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation worked closely with the builder to develop customised site solutions for items that needed further design development and changes throughout the project.

NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation successfully met the challenging target dates with professionalism and a high level of quality despite the complexity of fabrication required.
