Plasma cutting is a process whereby heated gas is funnelled through a plasma torch to heat, melt and cut through the work piece.
Plasma cutting holds some advantages over laser cutting in that thicker stainless steel can be cut than can be accomplished using laser profile cutting. It also places less stress on the steel material, meaning the material experiences less distortion.
At NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation our Plasma Profile cutting machines have the capability to effectively work material up to 3.2m wide and 18m long.
