As a company, we understand the impact an injury at work has on not only our employees, but their family and the wider community. As such, we strive to empower everyone who works at NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation to Stand Up and Speak Out for Safety.
We believe that Safety is the responsibility of both our leadership team and our people. Our commitment starts with the Chief Executive Officer and is actively promoted and driven from the top down.
We are currently certified to the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – requirements with guidance for use for the following scope: Mechanical and structural engineering services and manufacturing for industrial and mining applications.
At NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint. We are a member of the Australian Steel Institute and are certified as a Platinum level company within the Environmental Sustainability Charter. This means NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation is bound by the Charter and formally declares a commitment to a set of outlined sustainability principles.
We endeavour to apply best practices to achieve ecological and resource sustainability. The NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation team understand that we have a responsibility to future generations to implement solutions that will continue to improve our contribution to environmental sustainability within the industry. We have been certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.
Quality Assurance
Our Welders are qualified to AS/NZS 3992 and AS/NZS ISO 9606-1:2017 standards and piping fabrication is done in accordance with AS4458. Assurance of the product quality is done in accordance with AS3929.1. We also have a qualified Welding Supervisor for Pressure Equipment AS1796 Certificate Number 10, as well as a qualified International Welding Inspector – Piping Designer and Piping Engineer.
Our welding Quality Management System is based on the principles of AS/NZS ISO 3834 and we are currently in the process of obtaining this certification.
NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation operates a Quality Management System certified to the globally recognised ISO 9001 standards. NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation was initially certified to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards in November, 1992 and have maintained this certification without lapse. NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation is continually improving its quality processes and procedures to adapt to our customers’ needs.
NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation has been accredited as a painting contractor under the Painting Contractor Certification Program since 2010. This certification allows NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation to operate at defined standards for surface preparation and paint application.
NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation has been accredited for the following scope of certification: The contract manufacturing and assembly of non-active, implantable Oral-Maxillofacial and Othopedic medical devices and instrumentation.
NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation received a Certificate of Compliance for the National Structural Steelwork Compliance Scheme – Construction Category: CC3
This certificate includes: Fabrication (inhouse), Painting (inhouse) and Galvanising (subcontracted).
